Children deserve the best education we can give them

At what age does our responsibility to the future of the United States end? At age 55? Or does it continue on after this point? Our children must be educated, and educated well, to meet the challenges and needs of our nation in times to come.

And at what price does this education come? Really, it is less than $1 a day for the majority of residents in the township of Jackson. What will we sacrifice, our future or a cup of coffee at the convenience store?

As a community and as a nation, we must provide for our children’s future. Whether you have children in the Jackson schools or not, you may have a niece, nephew or grandchild in another place whose education is being provided by people who may not have children in the school system.

We owe it to them and ourselves to make sure the children have what they need to provide the leadership and guidance for our future.
