The following are the results of the Westlake Ladies Golf Association’s April 18 outing. In the 18-hole competition, Terry Ianelli finished first with a net score of 60, followed by Gladys Bober (62), Barbara Bell (64), Inge Hausman (64), Mary Scotese (65), Paula Barth (66) and Pat Wilson (66). Mary Scotese had low putts with 31. Ties were broken by the back nine-hole total.

In the nine-hole division, Bev Riola finished first with a net of 27, followed by Audrey Rosenberg (30), Genny Peterson (31), Lorraine Schneider (33) and Maxine Cahn (34). Peterson had low putts with 17.

The Lakewood BlueClaws get their second Major Leaguer Friday when reliever Turk Wendell makes a rehab assignment with the Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Wendell has been on the disabled list with tendinitis in his elbow since the start of the season. The BlueClaws play at FirstEnergy Park tonight through Sunday.

Tryouts for Howell Pinelanders girls travel soccer teams will be held at Hoffman Fields on May 28 and 29 (rain date May 30) from 5 to 8 p.m. All persons interested in trying out must wear a white T-shirt. Current plans are to hold tryouts for U9 girls (born between 8/01/93-7/31/94), U10 girls (8/01/92-7/31-93), and U11 girls (8/01/91-7/31/92).
