Senior citizen art show One hundred and eight pieces of artwork were submitted for the 26th annual Senior Citizens Art Exhibit at Ocean County College, Toms River. Josette Peterson, dean of continuing and professional education, presented 43 awards in nine categories. Among the winners in the professional category were H. Foster Ensminger, Lake-wood, who received second place for his oil painting "Thanksgiving"; Kathryn Clark, Lakewood, who won second place for her watercolor "Visions In Light"; and Rose Marie Licata, Lakewood, who won third place in pastel for "Olivia Rose and Mom." Among the winners in the nonprofessional category were Enid C. Osborne, Lakewood, who won first place for her oil painting "Sad and Lonely"; Nancy Devlin, Lakewood, who won third place for her oil painting "The Lambs"; Walter F. Wolf, Lakewood, who won honorable mention for his acrylic "Yachats, Oregon"; Elaine Rusoff, Lakewood, who won third place for her watercolor "Birch Trees In The Snow"; Michael Cohen, Lakewood, who won honorable mention for his watercolor "Friends"; and Faga Fiorino, Jackson, who won second place for her pastel "Cape Cod Garden." Other local winners were Beverly B. Marsico, Lakewood, first place in drawing for "Jessica"; Raymond G. Haiber, Lake-wood, third place in drawing for "Kosovo Refugee"; Patricia Luszik, Jackson, first place in photography for "Lily"; and Bob Zech, Lakewood, first place in sculpture for "Religion." |
