SOPHIE BROCKMAN, 75, of Marlboro, died May 31 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was a resident of Marlboro for the past 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. II, in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Robert C. III of Jackson and James J. of Millstone; a daughter, Joan Giblock of Knoxville, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren. The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church. ROSE McNULTY, 62, of Manalapan, died May 27 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., she had lived in Methuen, Mass., before moving to Manalapan 31 years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1983. Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Peter J. and Colleen of Englishtown, Michael J. of Avon, Sean P. of Manalapan, and Timothy J. and Linda of Manalapan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Coleen L. and Richard Robinson of Howell, and Kelly E. and Jim Dulovitz of Manalapan; a sister, Rita Janulewicz of Lawrence, Mass.; and seven grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702. HAROLD "CRICKET" L. MOORE, 76, of Howell, died June 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold Township, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked for the Monmouth County Highway and Road Department for 15 years, retiring in 1987. Before his years of employment for the county, he worked on the family farm until 1941 and on area dairy farms, where he received many awards from the New Jersey State Agriculture Department. He was a past member of the Adelphia Fire Company, Adelphia section of Howell; a past member of the Wildlife Gun Club and the Ironside Gun Club, Waretown; and a member of the Howell Bowling League. He attended Tennent and Englishtown schools. He was predecease by a sister, Helen Socey; a brother, Edward W.; and his twin brother, Robert E III. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Barbara of Whiting; two sisters-in-law, Janet Moore of Wrightstown and Dorothy Moore of Sanford, Fla.; three nieces; three nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Interment took place at Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia. SCOTT A. MARINO, 25, of Howell, died May 23 in Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had moved to Howell 14 years ago. He worked as a computer support specialist for E Street Access in Manalapan. Surviving are his parents, Frieda and Michael Marino, a sister, Angie, all of Howell; and his paternal grandfather, Anthony Marino of New Port Richey, Fla. CHRISTINE M. MORSE, 46, of Jackson, died May 29 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, after a seven-month battle with cancer. She was a food service worker for Howell Township Board of Education, where she worked for 15 years. She also worked for Stop & Shop Supermarkets in Howell for 11 years. She was born in Long Branch and had lived in Middletown and Howell before moving to Jackson five years ago. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Locke, in 1999. Surviving are her mother, Marilyn Locke of Gaines, Pa.; a son and daughter, Joel T. Morse and Amy Lynn Morse, both of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathleen Locke of Middletown; a sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Mark Steidle of Union Beach; four nieces; and two nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Catherine’s Church, North Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, eastern division, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702. DUSA BADUSHOV, 89, of Howell, died May 30 at home. She was born in Russia and came to the United States in 1952, settling in Howell. She was a self-employed housekeeper for many years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Rashi Gempil-Ling Buddhist Temple, Howell. Surviving are her husband, Sergey Badushov of Howell, a son, Sambu Badushov of Howell; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Rashi Gempil-Ling Buddhist Temple. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson. LOUIS S. D’ORLANDO, 80, of Manchester, died June 4 at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick Hospital Division, Brick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Dunedin, Fla., in 1987, and to Manchester two years ago. Mr. D’Orlando was a machine operator for more than 30 years at the Knight Slipper Corp., Brooklyn, which later became the Three Star Slipper Co. He retired in 1987. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in northern France, where he received the Purple Heart medal. He was a 56-year member of the American Legion Post No. 166, Toms River. He attended St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Mr. D’Orlando is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Diane of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Nicholas Coppola of Effort, Pa.; three sisters, Antoinette D’Alessandro of Staten Island, N.Y., Theresa Nardo of Brooklyn and Carmella Ciccone of Jackson; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by entombment at St. Mary of the Lake Mausoleum, Lakewood. FRANCES A. DOBRY, of Lakewood, died June 9 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mrs. Dobry was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had resided in Marlboro all her life before moving to Lakewood six months ago. She was a registered nurse and prior to retirement in 1980 she had been employed at Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital for 27 years. Mrs. Dobry was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Church, Marlboro, and was a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a bereavement minister and a lecture and Eucharist minister, and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Gabriel’s Church. She was a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis and a former member of the New Jersey State Nursing Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Dobry, in 1963. Surviving are a son, Anthony of Forked River; a brother, Vincent Zajkowski of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one grandson and two granddaughters. A Mass was offered at St. Gabriel’s Church, Marlboro. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. |
