Town must work to provide affordable homes
     Last year, in Howell, a large tract of land on Route 33 was rezoned for a "planned retirement community". Unfortunately, our mayor and outgoing Township Council did not adequately investigate the ramifications of such a rezoning.

Disrespect during national anthem upsetting
     I attended the Independence Day fireworks at Johnson Park in Jackson. The fireworks were awesome and I enjoyed them very much. How-ever, I was astonished that when "The Star-Spangled Banner" was played as part of the program, only a few people stood up in its honor.

Be wary when playing games of chance in New Jersey this summer
     With the constant rain finally gone, summer fun is in full swing. As people head to the Jersey shore, and to amusement parks and fairs, they’ll probably spend some time playing amusement games.
