Parents of autistic
children host bowling

Parents of Autistic Children (POAC) will be holding an afternoon of bowling at Ocean Lanes, 2085 Lanes Mills Road, Lakewood, March 29, 1-4 p.m. All proceeds will go to benefit autistic children. Donations are $12 per person. To make a reservation call Gary at (732) 836-3512 by March 10.

Antiques, collectibles

and more at college

There will be an Antiques and Collec-tibles Show at Ocean County College, College Drive, Toms River, March 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This show, sponsored by the Ocean County College Alumni Association and the Garden State Philharmonic Symphony League, will have 56 dealers from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.

There will be appraisals available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days for a cost of $5 per item. Also available will be glass and doll repairs as well as antique and collectible price guides and reference books for sale. Luncheon will be available at the college cafeteria. Celebrate St. Patrick’s

Day at Allaire Village

Allaire Village Inc. will present an 1830s Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration March 9, 1-3 p.m. at the Historic Village at Allaire. Admission is free.

The celebration will begin at 1 p.m. in the historic chapel, where the story of Saint Patrick will be told in a brief commemorative service in honor of Ireland’s patron saint.

After the service, visitors will be invited to join the Howell Works residents in a parade through the village. That will be followed by an afternoon of Irish music, dance and festivity. Visitors can also observe Irish cooking prepared by the Foodways Guild.

to give ‘the gift of life’

The American Red Cross announces its schedule of blood drives for March. Those who wish to donate can do so at the following locations:

• March 11, 1-6:30 p.m., Federal Express-Lakewood, 1000 Bennett Blvd., Lakewood -– first floor.

• March 13, 2:30-8 p.m., New Egypt First Aid Squad, New Egypt High School, 117 Evergreen Road, Plumsted – auditorium.

• March 24, 2:30-8 p.m., St. Mary’s of Lake-Lakewood, Holy Family Parish Center, 1411 East County Line Road, Lakewood.
