Obituaries DAWN M. BECHTOL, 28, of Howell, died June 11 at home. Born in Long Branch, she had lived in Eatontown, Howell, and Freehold Township before moving back to Howell. Miss Bechtol was an overnight stock clerk at Wal-Mart, Howell and North Brunswick, and was recently awarded "Employee of the Month." She was a graduate of Freehold Township High School. Miss Bechtol is survived by her parents, Rosemary Wilson of Freehold Township and Garry Bechtol of Ocean Grove; a daughter, Jessica, at home; a sister, Tina Bechtol of Barnegat; her maternal grandmother, Leone L. Wilson of Howell; a niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were officiated by the Rev. Harvey Kelley. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey, 501 John Fitch Way, Trenton 08611. LILABY "DANNY" WARREN, 63, of Manalapan, died June 11 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. Mr. Warren was a financial analyst for IBM, Dayton, where he was employed for 28 years before his retirement 10 years ago. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Ministries, Sayreville. He was a licensed mentor for the mentor Network of New Jersey and a member of the Walter J. Conley Elks Lodge No. 1379, Freehold. Mr. Warren is survived by his wife, Diane Ryols Warren; a son, Darrand Ryols of Lakewood; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Gregory Galloway of Cheltenham, Md.; a sister, Rosetta Vaughn of Cliffwood Beach; and four grandchildren. The viewing and services were held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. SOPHIE "SUE" PARKS ABECKER, 65, of East Brunswick, died May 31 in Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Philadelphia. Surviving are her husband, Robert Abecker; two daughters, Deborah Skomba of Branchburg and Cynthia Abecker of Manahawkin; three sons, Robert Abecker Jr. of East Brunswick, Michael Abecker of Jackson and Steven Abecker of Howell; a brother, William Parks of Pennsylvania; a sister, Eileen Ryan of the Belford section of Middletown; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. FRANK P. TALLERICO, 76, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died June 3 at home. A son, Joseph Tallerico, died in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Jean Urso Tallerico; a son, Frank P. Tallerico Jr. of Monroe; two daughters, Michelle Zehnbauer of Monroe and Francine Ferrono of Howell; a daughter-in-law, Mary Tallerico of Cape May; two sisters, Dolores Tobia of the Whiting section of Manchester and Kay Gardner of Elizabeth; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. KATHLEEN R. REILLY ZELLERS, 69, of Old Bridge, died June 7 at home. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Susan Marie Wilkie. Surviving are her husband, Glenn T. Zellers; two sons, Glenn R. Zellers of Wind Gap, Pa., and Joseph Zellers of Jackson; two daughters, Patricia Wilkie of Jackson and Cecilia Prenderville Sr. of Old Bridge; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services were held at Schwartz Funeral Home, Mifflinburg, Pa. Interment was in Forest Hill Church Cemetery, West Buffalo Township, Pa. GENEVIEVE BECKER YOUNG, 81, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died June 13 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she had lived in Newark before moving to Port Monmouth 33 years ago. Mrs. Young was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Young, in 1972; and a daughter, Genevieve Tamarato, in 1982. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Rose Marie Young of Manalapan, and Kevin and Donna Young of Jackson; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and William August of Port Monmouth, Arlene and Frank Corso of Hazlet, Carolyn and Joseph Sherman of Keansburg, and Debra and Harry Paule of the Leonardo section of Middletown; 35 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. |
