Obituaries NICHOLAS KATERINIS, 62, of Freehold Township, died July 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, he was a longtime resident of Freehold Township. Mr. Katerinis was a shift foreman at Brockway Glass Co., Freehold, where he was employed for 33 years. Following his years at Brockway, he was employed at the John L. Montgomery Medical Home, Freehold Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church, Freehold Township, and a 40-year member of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company No. 1. He was a Democratic district committeeman in Freehold Township for 35 years. Mr. Katerinis is survived by his wife, Harriet Selzer Katerinis; a son, Thomas D. Katerinis of Freehold Township; two daughters, Anne Marie Lee of Jackson and Nicole Katerinis of Freehold Township; his mother, Christina Alexander Katerinis of Freehold Township; three brothers, George Katerinis and Michael Katerinis, both of Freehold Township, and William Katerinis of Wall; and two grandchildren. Interment was at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. DOROTHY VIGLIANTE, 69, of Manalapan died June 23 at CentraState Medial Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had been a resident of Manalapan since 1966. Mrs. Vigliante was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Joseph Luisi. Surviving are her husband, Vincent; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony Vigliante of Freehold, Charles and Janet Vigliante of Spring Lake Heights, Vincent Vigliante and his fiancee, Alyssia, of Jackson, and Robert, at home; a daughter, Donna, at home; two brothers, Nicholas Luisi of Waldwick, Bergen County, and James Luisi of Brooklyn; five sisters, Mary Arbaugh of Wetherfield, Conn., Evelyn Shanley of Chandler, Ariz., Dolores Agliano of Brooklyn, Nettie Lucas of Queens, N.Y., and Jean Luisi of Brooklyn; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel. JOSEPH J. BRUNNER, 75, of Hazlet died June 26 at home. Mr. Brunner had been a resident of Hazlet since 1957. He was an electrician at New Brunswick Scientific, Edison, for 24 years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he worked for RCA Corp. for 26 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Brunner is survived by his wife of 49 years, Agnes Buknow Brunner; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James J. Brunner of Hazlet, Neal T. and Susan Brunner of Howell, and Stephen J. and Grace Brunner of Union; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Entombment was at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Hazlet First Aid, 3400 Executive Plaza, Hazlet 07730. JOHN P. CENTORRINO, 89, of Howell died June 26 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Centorrino was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he resided before moving to The Villages, Howell, in 1976. He was a truck driver for Manufacturers Corrugated Box Co., Maspeth, N.Y., before retiring in 1976. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Centorrino was predeceased by his wife, Ethel, in 1997. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Tarczilo of Freehold Township; and two sisters, Ann Centorrino and Eleanor Damiano, both of Brooklyn. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y. FRANK SCOTTO, 82, of Millstone Township died June 30 at home. Born in Naples, Italy, he had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Millstone in 1945. Mr. Scotto was a farmer in Millstone for more than 50 years before his retirement seven years ago. He and his wife donated the property that is now the site of the new St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Millstone. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Farm Bureau. His wife, Theresa Scotto, died in 1999. Mr. Scotto is survived by three sons, Michael A. Scotto and Philip A. Scotto, both of Millstone, and Louis E. Scotto of Jackson; two daughters, Mary M. Costagliola and Joanne M. Kopp, both of Millstone; two brothers, Dominic Scotto of Hollywood, Fla., and Anthony Scotto of Millstone; a sister, Mary Puglisi of Howell; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery. JOSEPH P. ANTOL, 56, of Matawan died July 2 at home. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided there until moving to Matawan 26 years ago. Mr. Antol was a senior business analyst at IBM, Pine Brook, for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked at Supermarkets General Corp., Rahway, for 22 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Mr. Antol is survived by his wife, Joanne Adams Antol; a daughter, Annmarie Antol, at home; and his stepmother, Marie Antol of Lakewood. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
