The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is searching for outstanding New Jersey small-business owners and small-business champions who will be honored during National Small Business Week in April.

They are looking to individuals, local chambers of commerce, banks, trade associations, and other community-based business organizations to submit nominations and sponsor candidates. The SBA will join with the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce in recognizing its Small Business Week award winners at the eighth annual New Jersey Small Business Conference scheduled to be held April 22 at the Hyatt Hotel in New Brunswick.

Century 21 Action Plus Realty, with office locations in Howell, Jackson and Freehold townships, is joining in Century 21 Real Estate Corporation’s national effort by hosting its third annual fund-raising event to benefit Easter Seals of New Jersey. According to the press release, the Century 21 Real Estate Corporation is the largest corporate sponsor to Easter Seals on a national level.

Century 21 Action Plus Realty will host an evening of dancing and dining at “A Blast from the Past” Nov. 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Eagle Ridge Country Club in Lakewood. The ticket price of $60 per person includes admission, a one-hour open bar from 7 to 8 p.m. and a buffet dinner. Attendees must wear a costume from the ’60s or ’70s and have a ticket in order to be admitted.

In addition to proceeds from ticket sale, Action Plus Realty will raise money from friends and business affiliates who advertise in its annual publication, which will be distributed to attendees at the event. It will also be distributed throughout the three Action Plus offices for future reference. Anyone who wishes to may advertise in the journal.
