Children’s memorial garden to be built
Seniors and children help babies and new moms
Howell Human Services/Youth and Family Counseling Services together with the Tangled Thread class from Howell Senior Center and the children from the Greenville School, have created “Backpacks for Babies.” These “backpacks” will be given to mothers with newborns and young infants who can use some extra help. The seniors from the Tangled Thread Class created the hand-knitted and crocheted blankets, sweaters, hats and booties. The yarn they use is donated and they can always use donations. To make a yarn donation, call (732) 938-4500, ext. 2550. The Character Education Committee of Greenville School and Ms. Belluscio’s first grade class collected and donated many kinds of baby items that a new parent would need. The children worked hard and their teacher delivered a truckload of goodies to the agency. Those interested in helping the community in any way can call the Howell Human Services building at (732) 938-4500, ext. 4000 or (732) 938-3747.
