‘National Wear Red Day for Women’ Feb. 4

The American Heart Association (AHA), North Brunswick, will celebrate American Heart Month during February, and will hold its second National Wear Red Day for Women Feb. 4.

The AHA is encouraging all women to “Go Red For Women” and wear an article of red clothing that day. The day is sponsored nationally by Macy’s and Pfizer Inc., and is designed to alert women to take charge of cardiovascular health. More than 15,000 New Jersey women die annually from heart disease and stroke.

The AHA is offering a red dress pin, and heart disease brochure and wallet card to track cholesterol, blood pressure and weight. For more information, call (888) 694-3278.
