Rachel Marie Orobono of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at York College of Pennsyl-vania, York, Pa.

Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I., has named the following Howell residents to the dean’s list for the winter term ending in February: Vanessa Gonzalez, fashion and merchandising (associate degree), College of Business; Sylvia Chey, marketing (associate degree), College of Business; Shannon Smith, international hotel and tourism management (bachelor’s degree), Hospitality College; and Joseph Korman, management (bachelor’s degree), College of Business.

Jennifer Ostrowski, daughter of Karen and Don Ostrowski of Jackson, has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at William Paterson University, Wayne, where she is a sophomore majoring in elementary education. She is a 2003 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School.

Nicholas Lyons of Jackson has received dean’s list honors for the fall semester at Felician College, with campuses in Lodi and Rutherford.

Prathima Pabbathi of Howell has been named to the fall dean’s list at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where she is a doctor of pharmacy student.

Dayna M. Carroll, daughter of Lorraine and John Carroll of Howell, has been named to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester at Bucknell University, Lewis-burg, Pa.

Joseph Montefinese of Howell has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Brookdale College, Lincroft section of Middletown, where he is majoring in criminal justice.

Lauren Bleimann of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, where she is a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work and a certificate in information technology. She was also inducted April 21 into the Alpha Delta Mu honor society, Alpha Beta Chapter, which recognizes superior scholarship in social work education. After she graduates in May, Bleimann plans to attain a master’s degree in social work.

Kaviraj Halemane of Howell has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at Berklee College of Music, Boston.

Joseph Acconzo of Howell has been named to the fall dean’s list at Caldwell College, Caldwell, where he is a junior.

Christian Decker of Howell was named to the fall dean’s list at American University, Washington, D.C., where he is a junior in the School of Public Affairs.

Georgian Court University, Lake-wood, recently inducted the following local students into Delta Mu Delta, the national business administration honor society: Mariola Morawski of Jackson; Megan Mocik, Jean Mutarambilwa, Johnny Pallithanam, Nadine Parchment and Elmer Rodas, all of Lakewood; and Rosemarie Esposito, Samantha Esposito, Sara Higgs, Seth Horowitz, Valerie Lee, Marie Mackanic, Maryann Mills, Erik Porsche-Algarin and Julie Whelen, all of Howell.
