Obituaries Eleanor A. Schleuter Mrs. Schleuter, 76, of Old Bridge, died July 11 at home. She was a former teacher’s aide at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Old Bridge. Surviving are her husband, Bernard; two sons, Robert of Howell and James of North Brunswick; three daughters, Cathy Capozzi of Middletown, Ginger Roman of Cream Ridge and Susan Donnelly of East Brunswick; two sisters, Theresa Simunek of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., and Barbara Conboy of Hicksville, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
Raymond J. Rasmussen Mr. Rasmussen, 82, of Freehold Township, died July 20 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he had lived in the Freehold area all his life. Prior to retiring, he was a data analyst for the New Jersey State Police in West Trenton for 36 years. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force, as a navigator and bombardier, and was discharged with the rank of first lieutenant. He flew 35 missions over Europe aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star Medal and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters. After the war, he served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 54 and Elks Lodge No. 1454, both of Freehold. Mr. Rasmussen was predeceased in 1995 by a daughter, Linda Rae Cox. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dorothea Simmons Rasmussen; two sons, Raymond J. Rasmussen Jr. of Sewell and Eric W. Rasmussen of Lakehurst; a brother, Lawrence Rasmussen of Howell; a sister, Grace Engeldt of Delaware; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
Helen Bazydlo Misyak Mrs. Misyak, 89, of East Brunswick, died July 11 at home. Her husband, George Misyak, died in 1999. Surviving are five sons, Joseph Misyak of the Toms River section of Dover, George Misyak of Mine Hill, John Misyak of Manalapan, Michael Misyak of East Brunswick and Stephen Misyak of Hoboken; five daughters, Mary Ann Misyak of Freehold, Sister Teresa of the Sisters of St. Francis, Bethlehem, Pa., Helen Verdon of Elizabeth, Veronica Finch of Kearny and Lillian Testa of Spotswood; a brother, Walter Bazydlo of Nebraska; two sisters, Lillian Novella of the Brick Town section of Brick and Monica Gallagher of Howell; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Richard Stanley Mr. Stanley, 74, of Monroe, died July 7 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Elsie Stanley, died in 1994. Surviving are a son, William Stanley of Monroe; two daughters, Beth Emburgia of Monroe and Ruth Harrison of Jackson; a brother, Neil Stanley of Freehold; and two sisters, Pauline Verbel and Janet Saliski. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
George C. Baureko Sr. Mr. Baureko, 77, of Helmetta, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 4 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was an electrician with American Smelting and Refining Co., Perth Amboy. Surviving are two sons, George C. Jr. of Spotswood and Kevin J. of Jackson; two daughters, Dione M. Longuillo of Monroe and Renee A. Baureko of Tannersville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Interment was in the church cemetery.
