Jennifer Benbrook, a Howell resident and salesperson for AtHome America, was recognized as one of the top sales consultants for having high November sales. Benbrook was awarded this honor because she has shown determination and commitment, according to Lisa Brandau, president of AtHome America. AtHome America has been providing decorating accessories for the home for the past 20 years. Benbrook has been a part of the company since 2005.
Ladacin Network, Wanamassa section of Ocean Township, recently received an award of $45,000 from the OceanFirst Foundation for a new roof at Ladacin’s Lehmann Center, Lakewood. The Lehmann Center houses Ladacin’s adult and school programs in Ocean County for individuals with developmental and multiple physical disabilities, and its child care program. OceanFirst has awarded $346,000 to Ladacin to date.
The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce is in the process of preparing the 2006 street map for distribution. The last update of the street map was in 1994. Advertisers are being sought for the map, which will be distributed to all chamber members in addition to homeowners, new businesses, the municipal building, public library, bus companies, police, first aid squad and anyone moving to Lakewood. The full color map will be printed on a premium gloss paper. The deadline for advertising is Feb. 28. Details: (732) 363-0012.
The Wachovia Foundation has pledged $20,000 to the United Way of Ocean County in support of its 2005-06 campaign. “Wachovia Foundation has been a great supporter of United Way of Ocean County over the years, and we appreciate their continued support of us as well as the community,” said Joyce Brda, executive director of United Way of Ocean County. United Way is committed to helping solve critical issues in the community and presently has 53 certified agencies which offer programs and services addressing the issues of Ocean County, some of which are emergency food and shelter, overcoming disease and disability, strengthening families and neighborhoods, caring for the elderly, investing in the youth, and helping the working poor.
Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company will present a seminar on insurance fraud at its March 1 Industrial Luncheon meeting. The meeting will be held at the Ramada Inn and Suites, 2373 Route 9, Toms River. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon The cost is $30 for chamber members and $35 for nonmembers.
