Obituaries Warren A. Brown Mr. Brown, 77, of Newtown, Pa., formerly of Manalapan, died April 22 at St. Mary's Hospital, Newtown. He was brought up in Roselle Park but lived much of his adult life in Manalapan, where he and his wife raised seven children. Prior to retiring 16 years ago from his position as a consultant with Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Arabian Oil Co., he had been the owner-operator of W.A. Brown Fabricators & Welders, Linden. Mr. Brown was an avid reader, as well as a former dancer on the "Arthur Murray Dance Party" musical variety television show of the 1950s. He was predeceased by an older brother, Donald Brown. Surviving are his wife, Anne; five sons, Robert Brown of Denver, Roy Brown of Philadelphia, David Brown of Lakewood, Dr. Mark Brown of Newtown and Lester Brown of Clearwater, Fla.; two daughters, Eileen Brown Davis of Richmond, Va., and Kathleen Brown Baratta of Freehold Township; a sister, Judy Strack of Bayville; a brother, Roy Brown of Summerfield, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. Interment took place at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Civil Liberties Union.
Thomas J. Beck Mr. Beck, 88, of East Brunswick, died April 23 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was national director of advertising and sales for the Boy Scouts of America, North Brunswick. After that, he worked as an advertising representative for Rossmoor News, Monroe. His first wife, Evelyn, died in 1972. Surviving are his wife, Katherine Gremillot Beck; two sons, Thomas Beck Jr. of Englishtown and Wayne Beck of Jackson; six stepchildren, James Charleston, Jeanne Herbst, Katherine Charleston and Daniel Charleston, all of East Brunswick, Edward Fredric of Monroe and Frances Charleston of Lopatcong; two stepbrothers, William Dillon and Robert Dillon; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834, or to the Boy Scouts of America, Central New Jersey Council, 4315 Route 1 South, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852.
Marguerite Kenny Corvino Mrs. Corvino, 73, of South Amboy, died April 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Joseph A. Corvino, died in 2004. Surviving are two sons, Edwin J. of Sayreville and Christopher J. of South Amboy; a daughter, Joanne Maciejewski of Palm Bay, Fla.; a brother, James Kenny of Lakewood; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary's Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Joseph Musso Mr. Musso, 75, of Farmingdale, died April 26 at home. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Elizabeth's Peterstown section before moving to Farmingdale in 1963. Prior to retiring in 1994, he was a self-employed ceramic tile contractor. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Farmingdale; a past commander and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9691, Howell; and a member of American Legion Post 78, Farmingdale. Mr. Musso was predeceased by his wife, Alice, in 1994; a brother, Pat Musso; and a sister, Mary Chokov. Surviving are a son, Joseph Musso Jr. of Bradley Beach; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia and Richard Silvani of Farmingdale, Susan and Ed Silva of Fall River, Mass., and Deborah Strawder of Brick; a sister, Anna Rivers of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; and three grandsons. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, Farmingdale, with the Rev. Michael Vona officiating. Interment followed at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
