Vincent Phillip Masi Jr.

Mr. Masi, 60, of Bradley Beach, died May 19 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in Irvington, he had lived in Jackson before moving to Bradley Beach one year ago. Mr. Masi was a master baker for Pennant Foods, Chicago. Prior to that, he and his family owned and operated Vincent's Cookie Cupboard in Manalapan and Freehold. He also was a baking teacher at Burr D. Coe Vocational High School, East Brunswick. He was a graduate of Woodbridge Vocational Technical High School and had attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Freehold Council No. 1672, and a former Boy Scout leader in Freehold. Mr. Masi was predeceased by his father, Vincent P. Masi Sr., and a sister, Barbara Kaminski. He is survived by a son, Vincent Charles Masi of Bradley Beach; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly Ann Masi of Freehold, and Amy Elizabeth and Douglas Bost of Milltown; his mother, Rita Rondeau of Jackson; a brother, Frank Masi of Jackson; two grandchildren, Michael Dellachiaie and Alyssa Bost; his former wife, Clare Celano of Freehold; and his former mother-in-law, Sophie Celano. Arrangements were under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Judith Ann (Leek) Procopio

Mrs. Procopio, 63, of Manalapan, died May 18 at home after a 15-month battle with cancer. She grew up in southern New Jersey and lived in Maplewood for several years before moving to Manalapan in 1978. Mrs. Procopio was a teacher, beginning at West Orange High School and later at Hillel Yeshiva in Ocean, the Freehold Regional High School District, and St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel. She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Anthony; a daughter and son-in-law, Laurie P. and Gary Floyd of Howell; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Maureen Procopio of Eugene, Ore.; her father, Robert Leek of Little Egg Harbor; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Leek of Manahawkin, and Dennis and Marianne Leek of Marlton; two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Cremation was held at the convenience of the family. A Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan. The family will receive friends and relatives at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Judith A. Dolores "Dora" T. Francisconi

Mrs. Francisconi, 79, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died May 11 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Keansburg, she was a lifelong resident of Keansburg and West Keansburg. Mrs. Francisconi was a cashier at the commissary at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, for 28 years, retiring in 2003. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lucille Laretto, in 1992; two sisters, Vera Davis and Lena Pesce; and two brothers, Giustino and Leonard Bellezza. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Francisconi; two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Eileen Francisconi of Barnegat, and Anthony and Tracie Francisconi of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Agnes and Raymond Fix of Manahawkin; a son-in-law, Kenneth Laretto of Herndon, Va.; three sisters, Lorraine Bellezza of Mays Landing, Sabina Donaruma of Hazlet, and Margaret Dellapitro of Jackson; two brothers, Sylvester Bellezza of the Belford section of Middletown, and Anthony Bellezza of Port Richey, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Catherine Steib

Mrs. Steib, 75, of Howell, died May 6 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Marlboro and Middletown before moving to The Villages in Howell in 1998. Before retiring in 1981, Mrs. Steib was the owner of Award Concepts, Eatontown. An avid golfer, she was a former member of the Bamm Hollow and Beacon Hill country clubs. Mrs. Steib was predeceased by her husband, John Steib; and a brother, Joseph Kelly. Surviving are two sons, Raymond Froehlich of Statesville, N.C., and Glenn Froehlich of Brick; two daughters, Cynthia Cook of Paris, N.Y., and Kathleen Flynn of Freehold; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, both in Freehold Township.

Terrie Acinapura

Mrs. Acinapura, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone, died on her 42nd wedding anniversary, May 9, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Clarksburg for the past 28 years. Mrs. Acinapura was primarily a homemaker, and was also controller for Freight Masters of New Jersey, Clarksburg. She is survived by her husband, Louis M., a son, Nicholas E., and a daughter, Elizabeth J., all at home; a brother, Kevin O'Brien of Jackson; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jean Marie and Michael Madia of Cream Ridge, Rosemary and Ken Doran of Huntington, N.Y., and Joan O'Brien of Lake Grove, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, both in Freehold Township. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

JoAnne Elizabeth Egli

Mrs. Egli, 62, of Millstone, died May 9 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she moved to Millstone 28 years ago. Before her retirement in June 2005, Mrs. Egli was a teacher of chemistry and physics in the Freehold Regional High School District. She was an active member of the American Cancer Society and served as assistant liaison to its Relay for Life. Mrs. Egli is survived by her husband, David; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie Catherine and Jeremy Hartlieb of Millstone; a sister, Rita Palumbo of Howell; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville section of Millstone. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury. The Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Michael A. Scotto

Mr. Scotto, 58, of Millstone, died May 6 in Williamsport, Pa. He was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong resident of Millstone. He was the owner and operator of Michelle Transport Inc., Millstone Township. Mr. Scotto was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Millstone. He had attended the Salem County Technical School. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Theresa Scotto, and a daughter, Michelle C. Scotto. Mr. Scotto is survived by his wife, Christine Pepperess Scotto; two daughters and sons-in-law, Liza and Robert Foy, and Catherine and Thomas Agabiti, all of New Egypt; two brothers, Louis Scotto of Jackson and Philip Scotto of Millstone; two sisters, Mary Costagliola and Joanne Kopp, both of Millstone; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church followed by interment at the parish cemetery. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Krzyzewski Sr.

Mr. Krzyzewski, 66, of Old Bridge, died May 4 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was a warehouse manager with Eagle International, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Rosalyn Bissell Krzyzewski; a son, Joseph Jr. of Jackson; a daughter, Lisa O'Connell of Flemington; and five grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.
