Donations of costumes sought

What would you like to be for Halloween? Some children in Ocean County do not have a choice. So, in an effort to help all children to dress up, the United Way of Ocean County is running its annual Halloween costume drive. The organization is collecting new and gently used costumes through Oct. 20 so all children can have a happy Halloween.

Anyone who would like to donate a Halloween costume is asked to bring it to the United Way office at 1144 Hooper Avenue, Suite 302, Toms River. For directions or more information, call (732) 240-0311.

United Way of Ocean County has raised more than $27 million since its inception in 1976. The current board president is Phil Scallon, and 30 additional board members from the Ocean County community support him.
