Library offers Internet resources for patrons The Ocean County Library offers several Internet resources, and most of them are accessible to its members from their home computer. The resources cover a range of interests, such as auto repair, detailed reports on national and local businesses, homework research, genealogical research, and numerous other topics, including learning a foreign language. To access the sites from home, log on to the library's Web site, www.oceancountylibrary.org, and click on "online resources." Select a resource to examine, then read the introduction that guides users through the log-on process. Some resources require users to type in their 14-digit bar code found the back of each person's library card, or a pin number, which is usually the last four digits of a person's telephone number. Those who don't have a library card can get one at any local branch or apply for one online. Proof of residence must be brought to one of the branches to validate it.
