On Campus Jenna M. Lopez, daughter of Diane and Gene Lopez of Jackson, has been recognized as a dean's scholar for her academic performance during her junior year (2005-06) at Georgian Court Uni-versity, Lakewood, where she is now a senior. Lopez, who is majoring in elementary special education and minoring in psychology, was among those honored on Oct. 5 at the university's annual fall convocation.
Nicole Savino, daughter of Filomena and Carlo Savino of Howell, has been named to the spring dean's list at West Chester University of Pennsyl-vania, West Chester. Savino, who is enrolled in the university's College of Education, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with a minor in reading, and expects to graduate in December 2007. She is a 2003 graduate of Freehold Township High School.
Jessica L. Tellier, daughter of Debbie and Mike Tellier of Jackson, was named to the dean's list for outstanding academic performance during the spring semester at The College of New Jersey, Ewing, where she is enrolled in the School of Nursing. She is a 2004 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School.
Karen Grill of Lakewood has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, where she just completed her freshman year.
William Roth of Jackson was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of New Haven, West Haven, Conn.
Jessica Lauren Feldman, of Jack-son, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Franklin and Mar-shall College, Lancaster, Pa., where she recently began her sophomore year.
Brian P. McFadden, son of Patricia and Keith McFadden of Jackson, has graduated with honors from Rutgers School of Engineering, Rutgers Univer-sity, New Brunswick, where he received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He also earned membership in the university's chapters of Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon, the national engineering and civil engineering honor societies.
Hina Parveen Zaidi of Howell, wife of Shaquib Zaidi, recently received a doctor of optometry degree from the Penn-sylvania College of Optometry, Elkins Park, Pa. She is a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa., where she earned a bachelor's degree. Zaidi is the daughter of Zahida Parveen and Ifhichar Husain of Howell.
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacks-burg, Va., has selected the following Howell residents, both first-year students, as members of its University Honors program: Matthew Artz, a general engineering major in the College of Engineering; and John Hayes, a chemistry major in the College of Science.
