Local teachers awarded development grants

FirstEnergy has awarded mathematics, science and technology grants to 15 teachers representing 12 schools from across the Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) service area. The grants of up to $500 will be used for creative hands-on projects, workshops and teacher development during the 2006-07 school year.

Local grant winners include Kate Reilly, Wemrock Brook School, Manalapan; and Jill Dobrowansky and Denise Anen, Oak Street Elementary School, Lakewood.
