Resource center seeks holiday donations of food

The Dave Brunelle Parent Resource Center, under the auspices of the Lakewood Board of Education, is seeking donations of canned vegetables and fruit, turkeys, rice, pasta and instant potatoes that could help make the holidays brighter for families in Lakewood. The Dave Brunelle Parent Resource Center, 521 Princeton Ave. in Lakewood, serves residents of Lakewood by offering free food, clothing, social services, and adult and parenting classes, including English for the Spanish speaker. They are also in need of new toys for the holidays.

Each November, personnel from the resource center personally deliver complete (uncooked) turkey dinners.

In December, the center becomes a central repository for toys for young children. Each year, hundreds of Lakewood households benefit from the work of the center.
