Howell High School art teacher receives grant

A Howell High School art teacher, John Carey, has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. The money will be used for guest speakers and to increase the printmaking capabilities of the art department. Carey has received eight mini-grants for the school's fine arts programs since being awarded a $5,000 Dodge Summer Initiative Artist/Educator Grant to pursue and document his own work as a painter in 1998.
