+ The Ocean County Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: Nov. 16 (coin auction), Dec. 7 (Holiday Social Event) and Dec. 21 (coin auction), at the Point Pleasant Beach firehouse, Arnold and St. Louis avenues, Point Pleasant Beach. + A Coney Island Night themed fundraiser will be held Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. for Courtney Hughes, a 9-year-old Jackson girl who has Ewing's sarcoma, a form of bone cancer. The event will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council No. 6201 Ladies Auxiliary, 401 Bartley Road, Jackson. The event will feature Nathan's hot dogs and corn dogs, games, 50/50 raffles, a gift auction, music and a cash bar. Tickets are $15. No one under age 18 will be admitted. The Allaire Post Office in the General Store will be open for visitors to bring their stamped holiday cards to be hand postmarked with a special collectible cancellation designed by artist Janice Collinson.
