Mid Atlantic X-Treme Sports, 15 Main St., New Egypt, opened its doors for business on Nov. 22. According to owners Ron and Carrin Harrison, the shop was designed to provide a place for youths of all ages to satisfy their sporting needs without having to travel very far. The walls of the store are lined with 100 skateboard decks, BMX bikes, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, baseballs, softballs, gloves, mitts and more. The official grand opening of the store will take place Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include a ribbon cutting by Mayor Ron Dancer, food and fun.
