Walk for Autism Research was a success

Thank you so much for helping me and our committee to publicize the inaugural New Jersey Shore Walk for Autism Research. As you know, the walk was held Sept. 30 and I am pleased to report that over 2,000 walkers made the seaside trek down the boardwalk in Manasquan and collectively raised over $230,000.

Our walk was one of the largest and most successful inaugural walks in the history of NAAR/Autism Speaks (National Alliance of Autism Research) and the money that was raised will help to fund crucial autism research and awareness programs.

Our committee has already started to plan the second annual New Jersey Shore Walk for Autism Research and we are striving to make it an even larger and more successful event. I hope that you will continue to help us publicize our walk in 2007 and I sincerely look forward to working with you again as the year progresses.
