Jackson mayor is doing a good job for town The taxpayers of Jackson should never forget the financial disaster the previous administration left us with. Mayor Mark Seda and the new Township Council are working hard to turn this around. With the newly appointed Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority commissioners, this is the first year in many, many years that JTMUA ratepayers are not seeing an increase in both water and sewer rates. And that's the bottom line. By being diligent, the JTMUA commissioners are saving rate-payers. That's a job well done. Thank you, Mayor Seda. The question that should be asked of Michael Reina ("JTMUA Commissioners Are Well Known Politicos in the Community," Letters to the Editor, Jan. 5) is this: Throughout the many years he lived in Jackson, how many JTMUA meetings has he ever attended? And did he ever confront the previous administration about their choice of commissioners? I won't be surprised to hear his answer, because you see, Mr. Reina has not exposed himself as to who he really is. Mr. Reina was part of the past administration. He was selected by them to sit on the Planning Board. In fact, he was the chairman of the Planning Board which helped create this disastrous building explosion. Also, last year he ran for Township Council on the same ticket with many of the same individuals from the previous administration who put us in this financial hole. And they lost. Instead of personal attacks, look at what's going well in town. Mayor Seda, you're doing a good job. Peter Mulligan Jackson
