+ Registration for ballroom dancing for adult couples is being accepted at the Howell Recreation Building, 251 Preven-torium Road. The program will run for six weeks on Fridays, from Jan. 19 to Feb. 23 - (beginner class 7-8 p.m. or advanced class 8-9 p.m.), or Mondays from Feb. 26 to April 2, 7-8 p.m. The fee is $50 per person. + The League of Women Voters of Ocean County will meet Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berkeley library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. The meeting will focus on the continuing concerns about the Oyster Creek nuclear plant and its application for another 20 years of operation.

+ Free bone density screening for women, hosted by the Autoimmune Information Network, will be offered Jan. 21 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Amer-ican Legion Hall No. 348, 822 Mantolok-ing Road, Brick Township. The Auto-immune Information Network meets monthly at Ocean Medical Center, 425 Jack Martin Blvd., Brick, in conference room B at 1 p.m. The Jan. 21 meeting will feature Creative Vibrations Drum-ming and a support group. + A country style breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 at the Jackson VFW Post No. 4703, 54 Magnolia Drive. All proceeds will benefit veteran and active duty troop programs. The event is open to the public.

+ Overcome the fear of public speaking with the Lakewood Piners Toastmasters Club.
