Annual prom set for Lakewood senior citizens

Lakewood High School PALS students will host the ninth annual Senior Citizen Prom, "Moonlight Serenade," from 5-9 p.m. April 22. Since attendance demands are high and seating is limited, PALS students will hold a lottery to randomly select attendees.

Those interested in attending the annual event must respond by March 22. Letters and/or postcards including name, address and telephone number will be accepted as well as entries received by fax. Those selected will receive an invitation in the mail. Two people can attend the prom on one invitation.

This annual event gives the PALS students an opportunity to show their appreciation for all that senior citizens have done to make the world a better place. Many senior citizens never had the opportunity to attend their own prom due to social or economic reasons at that time so this will be a first prom for many.

Entries may be mailed to PALS Office, Lakewood High School, 855 Somerset Ave., Lakewood 08701; or fax entries to (732) 901-5725. Details: (732) 901-5724.
