Mothers Center to host gift auction March 28

The Mothers Center of the Jersey Shore, a nonprofit organization that offers activities for children and mothers, will have its annual gift auction at the Woodlake Country Club, Lakewood, March 28 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 each and include choice of entree. Jackson Township MUA revises meeting schedule

Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority will hold its public meetings at 5:30 p.m. in its administrative offices at 135 Manhattan St., Jackson, on the following dates: March 29 (4:30 p.m.), April 26, May 24, June 21, July 26, Aug. 23, Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 29, Dec. 20 and Jan. 24, 2008, and Feb. 7, 2008.

Residents can meet

school board candidates

Residents will have a chance to meet the candidates who are running for seats on the Jackson Board of Education.

The Jackson Township Democratic Club will host all six candidates at its next meeting, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bella Terra assisted living facility on Catherine Drive, off County Line Road. The meeting is open to the public.

The candidates for two three-year terms on the school board are Linda Lackay, Gus Acevedo, Nicolas Antonoff, Sal Duscio, Scott Sargent and Sharon Dey. Lackay and Acevedo are incumbents.
