Cub Scout Pack 152 honors graduates

Cub Scout Pack 152 of Jackson celebrated its Arrow of Light Ceremony on March 23. The recipients of the Arrow of Light badge, the highest award available in Cub Scouts, are: Lucas Ackerman, Jason Gold, Ryan Langeveld, Bryce Procida, Nicholas Ruboyianes and Cameron Wood. All six boys also earned a 20 Pin award for having earned all 20 achievement badges in Webelos II.

Nicholas Ruboyianes "crossed over " to join Boy Scout Troop 34 in Jackson.

The master of ceremonies for the evening was Cubmaster Al Kelvy. The ceremony took place at the H.C. Johnson School, which sponsors the Cub Scout pack. Entertainment was provided by the Second New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Civil War Re-enactors group, which put on an educational living-history demonstration .

New Jersey Safe Boating Course offered in Howell

The Howell Recreation Department will sponsor a New Jersey Safe Boating Course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 12 for adults 16 and older at the Echo Lake Pavilion. The cost is $55.
