Earth Day Open House at Manasquan Reservoir

All are welcome to see what the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center has to offer when the Monmouth County Park System rolls out the welcome mat during its Earth Day Open House from noon to 5 p.m. April 21. Held at the facility on Georgia Tavern Road, Howell, the annual event will feature nature walks, crafts and a reptile show. Boat tours for a fee will leave from the visitor center on Windeler Road. Admission and parking are free.

The Environmental Center, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 8:30 p.m. Friday evenings, provides experiences of learning and discovery related to wetlands ecology and wildlife and habitat protection. Through interactive exhibits, multimedia presentations and wildlife observation areas, visitors gain an understanding of the importance of water in our world. Details: (732) 872-2670. For persons with hearing impairment may call the park system's TTY/TDD number, 711.
