Many people contributed to loving services for resident

Where can you start to put a million words of thanks in such a short paragraph? Where can I start as a husband to thank all those who helped this family say goodbye to a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother?

I have been around this world for 79 years and I have, as a minister, attended many funerals. I have never seen such an outpouring of love and honor given anyone who was just an average person, mother and wife. Some of those who honored Gladys Wickham were too young to even know her, but they gave up a day of work to do so.

The outstanding job done by the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company Station 56 was very moving. Their honor guard's performance was on the same level as any I have ever seen - a job well done. The Amvets Auxiliary, for their farewell ceremony. The Amvets Post No. 2 for the use of the hall and, along with the Amvets Auxiliary, for all their help in the set-up and service during our farewell gathering for family and friends. The Jackson police for their traffic control, that had some officers donating their time.

Also, to Timothy Ryan Funeral Home, Jeremy Selph for the awesome video pictorial/audio tribute and the numerous other people who helped and gave of their time to make our farewell to Gladys a beautiful event. The 300 people who loved the town she lived in and was very glad she moved back to see those whom she loved, also. God loves people like you and he smiled that day. Thanks a million times over.
