Trip to Philly for cruise, lunch planned for July 13

The Lakewood Community School has scheduled a trip on the Spirit of Philadelphia 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 13. The trip includes bus transportation to Penns Landing, a two-hour narrated cruise along the Delaware River, gourmet luncheon and entertainment. After the cruise, a stop will be made at the historic Colonial area of Philadelphia for visitors to use their free time to visit the Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, etc., on their own. Church youth mission trip has two openings

Youths from the DeBows United Methodist Church will be going on a mission trip to Richmond, Va., this summer. They will be joined by 350 other youths and adult counselors from all over the country. The youths will be divided into teams of six people and will be repairing the homes of the elderly, disabled and low-income people.
