Pennington Players will hold auditions for "Once On This Island," June 13 from 7-10 p.m. at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Audition location will be posted at the college's Kelsey Theatre. Auditioners should prepare one song from musical theater (no rock, pop or opera), bring sheet music, and be ready to dance. Strand Theater Ensemble will hold auditions for its August youth production of "Footloose," June 18-19 at 7 p.m. at the Strand Theater, Lakewood. Needed are young men and women 12-18 years old. Phoenix Productions will host open auditions for "The Sound of Music," July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Von Trapp children only; and July 17-18 at 6 p.m. for children, and 7-9 p.m. for adults. Auditions will take place at the Phoenix Studio Theatre, 111 Monmouth St., Red Bank. All parts are open. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars and must have sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to dance.
