'Grease' was the word in Jackson Township

More than 150 Jackson fifth- and sixth-graders enjoyed a night of music, food and dancing at the Jackson Senior Center on April 27. As part of the Department of Recreation and Senior Services Teen Dance program, students danced the night away to the theme of "Grease," the popular 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

The dances are coordinated by Recreation Department employee Bonnie Frizziola, along with several student and parent volunteers who assist with serving food, handling registration and chaperoning.

Several dances are coordinated throughout the school year.
