Optimist raffle helps children's charities

The Jackson Optimist Club is conducting a raffle to raise funds for children's charities supported by the organization. The winning raffle prize is an eight-day Carnival cruise to the Caribbean from Sept. 8-15.

The cruise will set sail from New York with ports of call in San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola. The drawing will be held July 4. Only 400 tickets will be sold. Donation: $10.
