Family festival and pet adoption set for June 9

The public is invited to enjoy an outdoor family festival and an indoor "Pet-a-thon" adoption program on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CareOne at Jackson, 11 History Lane, Jackson.

The festival will feature free pony rides, face painting, clowns, snow cones, prizes, and giveaways outside.

The Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters Inc., Jackson, an organization associated with the Ocean County Animal Shelter, will hold a "Pet-a-thon" adoption program for cats and dogs inside CareOne at Jackson.
