Business Briefs The Howell Chamber of Commerce and the Wall Township Chamber of Commerce will host a joint networking event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 12 at the Manasquan Reservoir Visitor Center, 311 Windeler Road, Howell. Members of the business community will have the opportunity to spread the word about their business or product, promote a special event or sale, do market research, and make contacts with other businesses. The cost is $7 per chamber member or $10 for two attendees. An additional fee of $5 will be charged for each nonmember. A groundbreaking ceremony for the future Barnside Veterinary Hospital will be held at 1236 Route 33, Howell, June 13 at 5 p.m. Several local dignitaries have been invited to attend, including Howell Mayor Joseph DiBella. The veterinary hospital will consist of a modern 6,000-square-foot facility in which state-of-the-art care will be provided for every stage of a pet's life.
"Lavender Potions for Body, Mind and Spirit," a workshop on how to make your own natural beauty care products, will be held June 9 at 11 a.m. at Calgo Gardens, 84 Cross St., Lakewood. Young professionals from all over New Jersey will gather June 27, 6-8:30 p.m., at the Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, for an evening of speed-networking at the June meeting of Young Professionals, Forty and Under, sponsored by the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.
