The Howell Giants, 12U, 50/70 team seeks all-star quality pitchers for Cooperstown Dreams Park trip week of Aug. 25-31. Cost of $625 includes accommodations, meals, uniforms, American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame ring, admission to National Baseball Hall of Fame museum and induction into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame. The Howell-Jackson Knights of Columbus, Council 6201 will be holding their fifth annual Father's Day at Monmouth Park Racetrack on Sunday, June 17, starting when the gates open at 11:30 a.m. Ticket prices are: $28 for adults, $7 for teens ages 13 to 17 and kids 12 and under are free. This price includes the best all-you-can-eat barbecue food at the park, assorted soft drinks and beer in a spacious picnic area reserved exclusively for the Knights. There will also be clowns, face-painters, pony rides, live music, a bounce house and more - all for the kids. For the adults, there will be special drawings throughout the day. All proceeds raised will go to help the Knights in their charitable endeavors in the community. Only 400 tickets will be sold and the past four years have been sold out.
