Girl Scouts of Jersey Shore host fundraiser

The 16th annual Girl Scout Golf Classic will be held July 9 at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune. Gerry Norkus, president of Norkus Foodtown, is chair of the committee. The entry fee is $250 per golfer and includes a beat the pro contest, continental breakfast, golf cart, competitions, prizes, refreshments and lunch. Sponsorships are also available.

The tournament will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Registration and breakfast start at 7 a.m.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore serves 18,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17 supported by 6,000 adult volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The council consists of members from the Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts and the Girl Scouts of Ocean County, which will merge on July 1.
