Benefit soccer tourney scheduled JACKSON - The Jackson Police Department and Police Benevolence Association No. 168 will be co-hosting a soccer charity event. The second annual event will be held at the Justice Complex, 102 Jackson Drive, during the weekend of June 23-24 with a rain date of July 14-15. Play will begin at 9 a.m. each day. Admission is $5. Children in elementary school and younger are free. The games will benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Jackson Police Officer John Pejoski said. For more information on the center's work, click on www.missingkids.com "Currently there are eight teams slated to participate in the event," Pejoski said last week. "These teams are Jackson United, comprised of police, fire and soccer club coaches, Jackson Memorial High School alumni, the FBI, the Nassau County Police Department, New Jersey Stickers Law Enforcement Soccer, the New York Police Department Enforcers, NYPD Finest, and the Philadelphia Police Department soccer team." Sponsoring the event are the Jackson municipal alliance, the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and the Crown Bank of Brick.
