Tent revival comes to Howell

HOWELL - Trinity Financial Sports and Entertainment Management Company will sponsor the 11th annual Good News International Tent Revival "Three Nights of Good News," to be held June 24-26 at St. Veronica Church, 4215 Route 9 north.

The tent revival will be preceded on June 23 at 8 p.m. with a special concert by Tony Melendez, an internationally renowned guitarist who was born without arms and plays only with his toes.

"I'm truly blessed to be a part of the Good News International Ministry and for the blessing God has given our company to assist in their fundraising," said Peter Grandich of Trinity Financial. "This year's 11th annual tent revival will be very special thanks to the single most electrifying Christian performer I have ever seen, Tony Melendez. They say only two things are guaranteed in life: death and taxes. Once you see Tony, you'll add 'a life-changing experience' to the guarantee."

Bill Wegner, the founder of Good News International, said, "We're extremely grateful for the many years Peter, his family and friends have supported our ministry. It truly would not have continued if they hadn't."

The tent revival kicks off each night at 6:30 p.m. and will feature live music, speakers, food, praise and worship by Refuge Music Ministry, and activities for all ages. On June 24, "The Master Clowns" will perform skits and do face painting for children and a special June 26 children's concert will feature "The Donut Man."

Adults will hear from internationally known speaker, musician and author Chris Padgett; Father Bill Halbing of St. Antoninus Church, Newark; and Sister Nancy Kellar of the Community Sisters of Charity.
