The Jackson Lady Strykers, a U8 girls travel soccer team, just completed another very successful season in the Jersey Coast League, where they placed second in the U8 Premier flight. They played in the PDA (1-1) and Cherry Hill (3-0) tournaments. The Strykers finished the season with nine wins, three losses and three ties. They had 40 goals for, 16 goals against, and six shutouts. Throughout the season, several coaches and referees commented on how skilled they were for their age. Their head coach is Bruce Washington. They will be playing U9 MOSA in the fall.

The players are Kathryn Sunder, Brooke Van Deventer, Madison Doria, Anna Francisco, Kayley Wilson, Hannah Saxton, Alexis Villalta, Arielle Sherman, Caitlyn Fogarty, Rachel Colt, Marisa Hastings and Daniella Diubaldi. The coaches are Paul Colt, Bruce Washington, Rich Wilson and Glen Van Deventer

A new girls U10 (1997-98) travel soccer team, playing in Monmouth County, will hold an open practice today from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at Howell Middle School North. For more information call Sal at (732) 762-2489.
