Jackson to celebrate Fourth of July

Jackson's Independence Day celebration will be held July 1 at John F. John-son Jr. Memorial Park, Cooks Bridge Road and Manhattan Street.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held July 2. Music will be provided by DJ Beats Per Minute beginning at 3 p.m. Jimmy and the Parrots will perform from 4-6 p.m., and Dr. Cheeko will perform at 6:30 p.m.

Fireworks will begin at dusk. There will be children's rides and food sold by Jackson nonprofit organizations. Facilities for the handicapped will be available.
