Resident expresses frustration with Jackson mayor and council

I am a resident of Jackson and our mayor, Mark Seda, and the Township Council are in my thoughts quite a bit lately. Like every day when I'm vacuuming caterpillar excrement out of my pool. I've vacuumed my pool more times already this year than I did all of last season.

The situation seemed to be getting a little better as of the past week or so now that the little pests are done feasting on my trees and have built cocoons and are now rapidly changing into their moth costumes.

Now my yard is starting to resemble a summer snow squall, you know, the kind with the real big flakes. The darn moths are everywhere and are reducing visibility in my neighborhood. And they're not graceful flyers. They zig-zag all over the place and fly right into you. And it's only going to get worse while the males and females mate and the females lay their eggs during July and August when thankfully, they will all die!

So thank you, Mayor Seda, and members of the council for your short-sighted decision to not participate in the gypsy moth spraying program and getting our summer off to such an annoying start.
