Thomas E. Mariano

Mr. Mariano, 75, of Freehold Township, died June 13, 2007, at home. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Westfield before moving to Freehold Township in 1964. Mr. Mariano was employed at Proctor & Gamble, Staten Island, N.Y., for 39 years, retiring as a warehouse dispatcher in 1990. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, where he was an active volunteer, and he held various positions with the Freehold Township Little League. Mr. Mariano is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy Laraia Mariano; four sons, Gunnar, Timmy and Thomas Mariano, all of Freehold Township, and Kevin Mariano of Jackson; and two grandsons. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
