On Thursday, June 21, the Blue Claws captured the New Egypt Cal Ripken Minor Championship with a 4-3 win over the Red Wings. What made their win even more impressive is the fact that the team went 16-0 this season. It was a great year for all the kids. The players' ages in this league are 8 and 9, although the Blue Claws had three 7-year-olds on the team.

The players are Daniel DiPasquale, Gino Tortoriello, batboy Tommy Vaughn, Reese Gumprecht, Hunter Mulryne, James Sonday, Kyle Shanahan, Andrew Agostinacchio, Timmy Morera, Christopher Puma, Chris Teresczcyn, and Joseph Vaugh. The coaches are Andrew Agostinacchio, Sam Notarianni, Dan Morera and Chris Teresczcyn.
