Toy drive planned

LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood BlueClaws will host a Toys for Tots drive, sponsored by the UPS Store of Brick Township, at FirstEnergy Park before and during their 7:05 game on July 30.

Any fan who donates a new and unwrapped toy that night will receive two free tickets to the BlueClaws Fan Appre-ciation Day game on Sept. 3.

"This Toys for Tots drive is something we hope all our fans are able to partake in," General Manager Geoff Brown said. "Participating fans will receive Fan Appreciation Day tickets as a way for us to show them how much we appreciate their support."

Toys for Tots, an official charity of the U.S. Marines, is a program that delivers new toys during the holiday season to underprivileged children. In 2006 the toy drive brought more than 19 million toys to 7.2 million children across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

For tickets or more information call (732) 901-7000 or visit the BlueClaws Web site at www.BlueClaws.com.
