Amanda Hecker, daughter of Sherry and Irwin Hecker of Jackson, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass.

Cadet 1st Class Christopher Hooper of Howell graduated June 16 from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Buzzards Bay, with a bachelor of science degree in marine transportation.
