Clayton Louis Decker Jr. Mr. Decker, 76, of Toms River, died Nov. 14, 2007, in Browns Summit, N.C. Born in Vanango, Pa., he resided in Meadville, Pa., and the Belford section of Middletown prior to relocating to Toms River. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, Belford. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant. Following his service, he was a member of the Army National Guard at Fort Dix for six years. He was a member of and served as commander, clergy member and historian at American Legion Post 515, Middletown. He was an avid Lionel train and toy truck collector. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Frances Susan Decker; a sister, Esther Deeter; and a son, L. Douglas McGlynn. He is survived by six daughters and three sons-in-law; Cynthia Susan Kadri of Raleigh, N.C.; Martha and Ted Phillips of Manchester; Michelle and George Murphy of Lansdale, Pa.; Sharon and Paul Borusewicz of Browns Summit, N.C.; Virginia N. Decker of Norfolk, Va.; and Jennifer Decker of Neptune; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Beth Decker of Jackson; a brother, Richard Decker of Orlando, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. |
